Chesterfield Caving Club

Location: 54A Church St, Brimington, Chesterfield S43 1JG.

Chesterfield Caving Club is a friendly Derbyshire based group that cave predominantly in the Peak District National Park, but also elsewhere in the UK and abroad.

We are always looking to recruit new members and welcome all enquiries. The club caters for individuals or families of all abilities and levels of experience over the age of 18 years (unless accompanied by an adult).

We hold regular potential new member day trips. So if you want to come along to find out what the Club is like, or try caving for the first time, contact the Club membership Secretary.

If you are interested in joining Chesterfield Caving Club contact the Membership Secretary. The first three trips are free, after which club membership is required (£25 which includes BCA Insurance). Novices can borrow caving equipment from the Club, although experienced cavers are expected to provide their own hardware (excluding ropes).

Chesterfield Caving Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Red Lion Public House, Brimington, S43 1JG, about 2 miles from the centre of Chesterfield (for location see map below). We meet at 8.30pm in the public bar, but sometimes move into either the upstairs room or rear room thereafter (ask at the bar).
